Tualatin Valley Farmers Markets

If you are anything like me, you love shopping at the farmers market every week! It is a great place to pick up fresh produce, plants, and flowers from local farmers. Not to mention all the various food and craft vendors, offering their locally made goods and eats. Plus the farmers market is a great community hub and it’s simply a wonderful way to support local businesses .

With the current stay home order in place, you may be wondering how that affects the operation of your local farmers market. Well, I am here to tell you that there are several active markets right now and many more are scheduled to begin operations soon

The Beaverton Farmers Market is open for business and has taken many measures to ensure the safety of customers and vendors alike. In addition to extra sanitizing and hand washing stations, they have added a drive thru lane to the market to facilitate curbside pickup. There is a separate pedestrian lane as well, for those who prefer to walk the market.

The staff, volunteers, and vendors are all doing a great job of keeping things organized and moving so that everyone’s market experience is safe and enjoyable. It is also possible to place pre-orders with many of the vendors. To do so, simply check the vendor list in the days prior to the market and reach out to your vendor(s) of choice to find out how to place your pre-order.
