Ever since getting my first real job as a courtesy clerk at a grocery store in the town I grew up in, Salem, Oregon, I found myself saying yes to parts of the job that no one else wanted to do.
What would possess me to volunteer to work the bottle shift, counting and sorting empty soda and beer cans and bottles for eight hours, is still beyond me. And yet, I found myself continually willing to do the dirty work, so to speak.
After working numerous such retail jobs, a brief stint in IT/Coding, and several years spent as Operations Manager at a local natural medicine distributor, I found myself back in retail.
This time around, I was motivated by my greatest passion, music. I spent over 12 years working for a national musical instrument retail chain, first as a salesperson, then as a Sales Manager, and finally as a Store Manager running a crew of 25+ people. Eventually, I found myself missing the interactions with clients on the sales floor and I knew it was time for a change.
Motivated by a desire to help individuals and families build wealth (my own included) through real estate, my own included, I took a bold step into the unknown and become a licensed real estate agent here in Oregon.
Since then, I have had the great honor to serve my clients by helping them navigate the complex process of buying and selling a home. My penchant for details and the “dirty work” gives my clients the confidence in knowing that their best interests are being closely monitored throughout the process so that they may continue to focus on what is most important in their own lives with minimal disruption.
When I’m not actively helping clients, I enjoy writing songs on my acoustic guitar and recording them in my home studio. I also like to spend time with my family and our dog doing things outside so that we may enjoy the great beauty of our wonderful state.
